NUMBER ONE TICKET HOLDER

It is a great pleasure to announce  that the Number 1 Ticket holder for the 2011 season is Mr.Les Styles. Les was presented with his membership ticket at the Clubs jumper presentation luncheon on Sunday, 3/4/11 and was proudly supported by three generations of the Styles family.Les is one of only two players to play in 3 premierships with the Club in 1937, 1946 and 1948. He served on the Club Committee and was awarded Life membership of the Club in 1948. Well done Les and as you can see the great grandsons (some at least!) are following on the family tradition.

What a great bonus for the Club with the unexpected return of Daniel McConnell from W.A. Daniel has been in full training in the West and has returned looking extremely fit and ready to go. CROYDONIANS RACE DAY

What a terrific day! Beautiful weather, beautiful people and a great turn out and support generally. Thanks to those players and supporters that made the day the success that it was and helped raise some valuable funds for our 2011 campaign. Top effort by the Punters Club to land both the Melbourne and Brisbane quaddies which at the time of reporting may be added to the total raised (subject to all participants approval and sober reflection today!).

Special thanks to Laurie Fletcher, Peter Molloy and Nick Fraraccio for their efforts in arranging the day, along with the multitude of "Guest Chefs" and other helpers (you know who you are).The Club was well presented on the day and based on the feedback a similar day, bigger and better, could be on the cards for next year. Blacky.jpgMore good news for the Club with the return and re-signing of  DAVID BLACK. David was a valuable member  of our 2009 line up and returns to the Club after an overseas trip during the 2010 season. With Big Nic also back all we need is for the "3rd B", B.J. (Ben Hallas) to return from the all conquering Cairns Saints and both the playing stocks and player fines would receive a substantial boost! Welcome back "Blacky".

WELCOME BACK BIG FELLA!

Big Nic_1.jpgGreat news for the Club with the confirmed resigning of Nic Braybon for the 2011 season. Will be great to have the big fella around the place again and look out for those $2 fines next year. Recruiting in general is in full swing whilst the Club is currently going through the process of appointing the Coaches in all grades for next year.
